A week's holiday is coming up. But which travel bag is right for a week? The good news: you don't necessarily need a huge suitcase. With the right size and a clever packing system, you can travel for a whole week with just one bag. And once you've arrived at your destination, you can keep using it every day. Here's our guide.
The rule of thumb: how much space you really need
We know from experience: the large shopper with zip is enough for two to three nights if you pack cleverly. With a few tricks, however, it becomes your complete luggage for an entire week.
Ideally, combine the large shopper with our packing cubes. They help you store your clothes in a space-saving way and keep them clearly sorted. So even on day five you'll know exactly where your favourite shirt is. On top of that, your care products and beauty essentials get a fixed place of their own in a toiletry bag.
The trick for a week: fewer pieces, more combinations
Pack using the mix-and-match principle: choose a few pieces that combine well with each other. Two pairs of trousers, five tops, a jacket and a dress quickly add up to more than a dozen different outfits.
Roll your clothes instead of folding them. Fill your shoes with socks and wear your heaviest item of clothing while travelling. This saves a surprising amount of space and keeps your luggage organised.
And if you do want to bring more?
Travelling with winter gear, clothing for two climate zones or with your family? Then it often makes sense to combine two bags. For example, use the large shopper as your main luggage and the small shopper as hand luggage for everything you want within reach on the way.
